So Sunday was a pretty busy nature day. We had over a foot of snow and then late at night we had the "Blood Moon". From what I understand it is a full moon that goes in the shadow of the earth for a total eclipse. It could be seen at about 11:45pm. We stayed up for it...kind of.
So we kept looking out the window starting at about 9:30pm on Sunday. It was kind of cool. You could see the moon being covered up a little at a time. When it came to the full "blood moon" we got out of bed and went to the window. The issue was that the moon was almost directly over our house. To see it we had to smoosh our faces against the one window that it was visible from and look almost straight up. Yes we could have gone outside, but we were in our pajamas and it was about 2 degrees. I ended up opening the window, sticking my head out said "hey that's cool" and then went to bed.
