Winston is a 3.5-year old pit mix and quite the comedian.
"Hi there, I'm Winston and my friends say I'm a TON of fun! I'm a goofy guy who is sure to bring your house plenty of laughs - all I ask for is some love in return! Other than hanging out with my people, my favorite thing to do is eat some tasty treatos! I'll even show you my best sit and down to get some, and I'm sure I can be persuaded to learn a few more fancy tricks. My ideal home would be an active one with older kids, if any. I could see a canine sibling in my future, but we would have to meet first to ensure we're a good match, of course. I would, however, do best in a home without cats or other small animals. IMPORTANT MESSAGE - WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is at a tipping point. They have too many animals for it to be safe for the animals or staff to keep running at this speed or at this level. They are doing everything they possibly can to mitigate tragedy. They have lowered adoption fees to $50 for all animals one-year and older through the end of August. If this does not help drastically lower the numbers Mohawk is seeing, more difficult decisions will have to be made, including some they have not had to consider in over a decade.
