Buddy is a 4-year-old male pit mix and he wants to be your friend.
"Are you looking for a new Buddy? Look no further because my name happens to be Buddy! I prefer to dine/play with my things alone, but I am willing to learn how to share. Since I enjoy my things, I would thrive in a teen/adult home. I know how to sit and give paw, but since I am so food motivated, training will be a cinch! I have played with dogs here at the shelter, so if there are other dogs at home, I just want to make sure they match my play style. There’s one thing about me though. I am part of the Cross Roads Program here at MHHS. This means that I may be towards the end of my life. The people at MHHS believe that all pets deserve to know love and a home, and I agree! We don’t know how much longer I have, but I promise to be the goodest boy until my last day."

Kitten Shower
The cutest event of the season! Join the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society on Saturday, April 8th from 12pm-3pm for this family friendly event to help MHHS get ready for kitten season. Bring an item off of our kitten wishlist and you will get a door prize. The afternoon will be filled with a bake sale, raffle AND auction, stuffed animal adoptions, crafts for you AND the future kittens at MHHS, a supply drive and oh, kittens of course! Note, this is NOT an adoption event. Just like how Baby Showers don't give away babies, they are not giving away kittens. Before 2023 is through, Mohawk Hudson will care for upwards of 700 kittens. They need your help to make sure they thrive so that they can join your homes when they are ready!
Pride Pawrade
Join the Pride Center of the Capital Region and Mohawk Hudson Humane Society for the 2nd Annual Pride PAWrade!!! This event will be held at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society on Sunday, April 30th from 10am-2pm. Activities include a pet parade and costume contest, food trucks, music, vendors, kids’ activities & more!
