Local Credit Union Wipes Up Close To 12,000 Rolls of TP to Help the Needy

Did you know that Capital Region residents who are on food stamps cannot use them for personal hygiene products? We never knew this! No soap, no detergent, no shampoo...no toilet paper!

The folks at First New York Federal Credit Union decided that toilet paper especially is an essential. They then put forth a campaign to collect toilet paper and paper towels at their branches and company headquarters to share with the Catholic Charities Tri-County Services, an agency to assist the needy with the basic necessities.

This year they collected over 11,000 rolls of toilet paper and more than 3,000 rolls of paper towels! Amazing!
