Homes for K-9's

On April 28, 31 working dogs were seized by Connecticut state and local authorities in a horrifying animal cruelty case that saw K-9s allegedly shot and killed at BlackRock Kennels. With a long history in animal welfare and a successful K-9 program, The Hometown Foundation, Inc. stepped in to help adopt and relocate 13 service dogs, who were dubbed “The Lucky 13.” The dogs were malnourished and in need of assistance, including both dietary and medical needs, putting The Hometown Foundation into immediate action. As the K-9s were bred and trained to be service dogs for Law Enforcement or TSA Police K-9s, the Foundation’s goal was to properly nurse the dogs back to health and place them in proper loving homes or back into the police workforce in law enforcement. Now 11 of “The Lucky 13” have been successfully placed onto their rightful healthy paths.

With two more dogs needing homes, the Foundation is seeking your help!
