Meet Sophie! Guaranteed to Steal Your Heart!

  • Good with dogs
  • Good with children

Look at how sweet her expression is. Those eyes of hers are the windows to her soul. Moments with her are lasting moments and she will become your best friend in no time at all. Meet our girl, Sophie. She is a 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix weighing around 45 pounds. She has the sweetest disposition that you could ever imagine. Now imagine her as your next canine family member and make it a reality. Sophie is a medium-energy gal that likes to hang out with other dogs, people and children. Her past life is unknown, but she was found as a stray and pregnant. She fulfilled her motherly duties so now it is time for her to have her life filled with love and acceptance. There is no looking in the rearview mirror for Sophie because it is full steam ahead. Her goal is all about finding the right family for her. Although we know that she does well with other dogs and children, we do not know how she would react to cats since she has not had any dealings with them since her rescue. We do know that she likes to play, and toys are a big favorite of hers. There is never a dull moment with Sophie around. She is ready to make it into the big leagues because she is already house, crate and leash trained. That is a triple hitter that lasts a lifetime! Sophie is more than ready to show her family her skills and all the practice that paid off for her. Although Sophie is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. The ideal home for Sophie would be one filled with love but also with a family that is committed to providing her with regular exercise, continued training and an abundance of socialization. A sweet girl like Sophie deserves a home and family to call her own. The adoption fee for Sophie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue, and transport fees.

To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application right here and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
