This is the extent of what I have done to get ready for the holidays. I pulled the antlers & lights out of a drawer in my office from last years Schenectady Holiday Parade. I heard that we are 27 days away from Christmas today and I started to get nervous.
Here's were I am with stuff:
- I have not put up one decoration. The guy across the street has a major display. I may just put up a sign pointing to his yard that says "he wins". It will save me the stress of strings of lights with only 75% of the lights that light up. Let's see. I could spend 2 hours on them and still not get them fixed, buy new ones for $6 or just make the sign. I'll get back to you on that one.
- Gift shopping...0% finished. I'm still eating Thanksgiving leftovers and Halloween Candy. Not exactly healthy but...
- I haven't baked on cookie...scratch that. I don't think I've ever baked a cookie. I'm more of a quality control guy
- Wait maybe I have begun...I did watch The Christmas Story over the weekend...I may ask Santa for a BB Gun. There is a squirrel at our bird feeder that needs a couple of warning shots over the bow since me running out in my pajamas hasn't had much of an impact...unless you consider the trauma caused to the neighbors.
