We took a quick weekend trip to Nashville for a wedding. Most of our time was spent on wedding stuff but we did get to The Opryland Hotel, the Honky Tonk Highway (about 5 blocks of nothing but bars with bands playing & places you can buy cowboy boots & hats) & the most important...the Antique Archaeology store. You know place where Frank & Mike leave some of their stuff from the History Channel's American Picker's show.
It's in a big old car factor from the early 1900s. I thought they were the only store there but it's kind of part mall of all these unique shops & part museum with old machines from the factory. Pretty cool if you are ever in Nashville.
I had to take this pic in the store. Pretty sure it was required by law
A lot of the items were "not for sale". Like this guitar & jacket from Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen. I remember seeing the episode!
We also got to stop at the Opryland Hotel. It's huge with all kinds of gardens, fountains & waterfalls. Think of the Desmond times about 1000. There was even a river you could take a boat ride on.
There is also a legendary radio station there so I had to take this pic. Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak was one of their DJs. Who knew?
