When I saw this I was shocked that the city of Albany would be without a bowling alley. How could that be? OK there are places to bowl outside of the city but still. The Playdium on Ontario Street is closing after almost 80 years. I'll admit I've never been there. Actually I can't remember that last time I went bowling but, it's nice to know there are places you can do to rent shoes and try to knock stuff down. Yes I need the bumpers. I can probably consistently roll a 114 or so...if I'm on my game.
They plan to knock it down and put up apartments. Bowling isn't the booming business it once was but, still kind of sad to see it go.
