I stumbled onto a story about Albany's ugliest building being purchased recently. The guy who bought it is Evan Blum. He owns this business called Demolition Depot & Irreplaceable Artifacts in Harlem. He is also an artist and is working on some plans for the 90 year old building.
It was a cold storage warehouse at one time. Trains could pull right into the building to unload. It seems like it might be a kind of museum for some of the building artifacts they find in old buildings and who knows maybe we can all have dinner on the roof some day. It has a great view.
Here is a video of Evan taking a tour of the building. I always wondered what it likes like in there.
