Friday night our daughter and I got the chance to see Ed Sheeran and James Blunt in Boston. I had never seen either before. James was very funny and sounded great! He talked about no one being there to see him and that he would play "the one song you know" soon. He also said he was talking so fast because he was nervous because he was playing all these new songs...then he said "you don't know the words anyway" so it was probably OK.
Ed was amazing. I didn't know he wasn't bringing a band with him It was just him and his loop pedal all night and he sounded like there were 10 people with him. I don't think many people could do a show like that.
If you missed him you have some chances coming up. He announced a stadium tour next summer. He will be at Gillette Stadium September 15th and Met Life Stadium September 22nd.
The coolest thing was that we were back in the hotel room early enough to start catch our iHeart Fest thanks to free wi-fi and the cwtv.com webcast. Pink was great and caught Coldplay before I fell asleep after live music overload. Saturday night it was great watching again thanks to a "smart TV" at home.
