Last night was the third part of a 10 part Ken Burn's Vietnam series on PBS. I missed the first episode but have seen the 2nd & 3rd episodes. Last night the Crocker family from Saratoga Springs was featured prominently and I am pretty sure they will probably be on this evening's episode. Their song Mogie served went into army in his teens. There was even a scene where the family recorded video a Christmas message for him in about 1965 on WTEN.
This is a pretty graphic documentary but I believe it's one you might want to watch. It is very eye opening. There is so much the government hid from the public going way back into the early 60s. It will also make you appreciate the men & women who served even more and hope that we don't get in a similar situation ever again.
