Katy Perry Buys a Convent

Katy Perry has been trying to buy a convent in California for a  couple of years.  A group of elderly nuns of the order the Sisters of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary used to live there. They originally sold it to another buyer but the Archdiocese of LA said that they didn't have the right to sell it even though it's said they were given it back in 1927.

A judge said Katy could buy it last April but it was over turned by another court.  Another judge just ruled in her favor again.  I guess it not only went to the courts but all the way up to Pope Francis.  Katy is buying it for about $14 million and will move in there with her Mom & Grandmother.   Not sure I would start packing yet.

It looks like quite the place although it might feel a little weird to live there.
