Surfing the internet the other day and found an article suggesting that we name our children with classic names, but to keep them unique, by spelling them in an unusual way. Think Jaymes instead of James or Sofiah instead of Sophia.
Terrible idea!!! I am all for a twist on a classic, but why not rely on your child's unique personality to make them stand out...or go crazy with the middle name instead?
If I had named my kids (Emma and Jack), Emmah and Jak, I would merely subject them to a life of an incorrect spelled first name and waste of time constantly correcting it!
Take if from me, "Tracy With NO e," a differently spelled first name is nothing but a payne in the botum!
