We have been highlighting different ways that you can help during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and one of our listeners, John, sent us this event.
It's the Tour de Daggett Lake: Bicycle Ride for Rosie's Love. It's this Sunday, and it starts at 8am. You can pick between the 20 mile ride, and the 65 mile ride.
Rosie's Love is a charity that was started by Rosemary Frances Johnson's parents in 2000, after they lost Rosemary to cancer when she was just 2-years-old.
"Rosie’s Love has been dedicated to providing emotional, practical and financial support to those who need help. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of those affected by childhood cancer, including patients and family members. We provide assistance where other sources fall short – from providing fun activities for children receiving in-patient treatment to family getaways that provide a break."
If you know an event happening locally, or see a product where the proceeds go to Childhood Cancer Awareness, please send us a message so we can highlight it.
