Wedding Wednesday: One for ALL of the Disney fans!

I kinda love when people who met back in middle school or high school end up spending the rest of their lives together. It's so sweet, and totally pulls at my heart strings. I'm a sap, I know.

I figured with all of the hype with "Beauty & the Beast" coming out this past week, this would be the perfect time to highlight this couple!

When I posted about Wedding Wednesday awhile ago on my Facebook page, Becky, who I went to high school with, reached out to me about her Disney wedding. I saw pictures of their wedding with her Disney inspired dress, but I had NO IDEA how much she incorporated Disney into her big day with her now husband, Andy (who I also went to high school with.... Class of 2005, baby!)!

"We were doing a Disney themed wedding, so I was completely against a Disney style dress because so many people assumed I was getting one. After going to several different shops, we went to Alfred Angelo (who carries the Disney wedding dress line), and they had the blue Elsa dress in the window. I was still against getting a Disney dress, and I tried on many others. My youngest sister, Michelle, begged me to just try on the dress, and the ladies working said no one had tried it on yet, so I did to make her happy & to be the first one with it on. I fell in love with it! It was so different. I tried on the white version of the dress but it just wasn't same. I then tried on the Belle, Snow White and Cinderella style dresses but I kept looking back at the blue Elsa dress. I loved the shimmering cape and the blue tone.

To make our wedding Disney themed, my bridesmaids walked into 'Bibbity Bobbity Boo', I walked in to 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes', and we all walked out to 'A Whole New World' at the end.

I was brought to the church in a horse drawn carriage. My 3 grandmothers were my flower girls. At the reception my tables were each a different Disney movie and each guest got their own Fast Pass seating card. Our bridal party was introduced at the reception each with their own Disney song and we cut the cake to the Mickey Mouse March. Our center pieces were Tinkerbell's lanterns, except the head table had Beauty & the Beast's rose. Our card box was a Pirates of the Caribbean theme and our guest book was thumb print canvas fireworks. Our ring box was also Little Mermaid themed."

So. Much. Disney.

I thoroughly enjoy how Becky & Andy stuck to the theme. If you're going to have a theme, that is the way to do it! I loved how her 3 grandmothers were the flower girls... I think that was my favorite part! The theme for Becky's Bridal Shower was even Disney inspired... with, of course, the grey stuff for dessert!

I was able to incorporate my favorite Disney movie, "Beauty & the Beast", with a sign I found on Pinterest where our guests picked up their apple cider donuts that acted as placecards. We now have it hanging up in our hallway, and it makes me so happy to look at every time I walk into our home. I was pretty proud of myself for this one, but Becky & Andy put me to shame!!!

*Apparently, we thought it would be a good idea to walk through a small doorway together as husband & wife. I don't suggest it, for the record.

If you have something unique from your wedding, or something you saw at an event, let me know!

I would love to highlight it!!!
