Summer time is burger time so it's appropriate that the Fourth Annual San Antonio Burger Week will kick off Friday, June 10 — all in the name of feeding hungry folks in and around the Alamo City.
The promotion, which runs through June 19, invites area eateries to create $5 and $8 specialty burgers in support of the San Antonio Food Bank. A portion of each specialty burger sale will be donated to the nonprofit. Remember that every $1 donation to the Food Bank covers seven meals for families in our community facing food insecurity.

Things to know:
Purchasing sides, drinks, and extras aren't a requirement, but we all know burgers need fries and an ice cold drink.
Don't forget to share and tag your photos with #SanAntonioBurgerWeek.
Restaurants may run out of their specialty Burger Week offering.
There will probably be wait times. I'm just going by last year. There were some crazy lines.

Check social media. Restaurants are being encouraged to post their wait times, if they've run out of burgers, etc.
Featured eateries will offer a SA Burger Week special with dine-in, to-go, and delivery options available depending on the restaurant.
