These Are The Best Shows To Binge Watch During the Coronavirus

The Mandalorian Disney Plus

The Mandalorian Disney Plus

Like most of you I have seen a lot more of my house since March. With COVID-19 shutting things down it has kept me and my family home more often than we normally would be. A little escape is always nice and sometimes we can do that with a good television show, especially one that you can sit and binge watch. I know I love doing that.

Throughout social distancing I have found several shows that I am loving and I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite shows that I have binge watched the last few months.

Note: These are personal suggestions and I am no way ranking these.

The Mandalorian (Disney Plus)

It should come as no shock that I loved this show. I loved it so much that I host a podcast, We Have Spoken, all about it (listen to it here). If you love the original Star Wars trilogy you will love this show that picks up after Return of the Jedi.

See (Apple TV)

This show stars Jason Momoa in a future earth where everyone is blind due to a virus that basically caused humans to go extinct. Now with everyone blind for hundreds of years, those that are born with the gift of sight are seen as witches. It is an incredible story. I highly recommend.

The Morning Show (Apple TV)

A show more in the real world, this is a take on the current climate that we're living in where people are being held accountable for their actions. It shows the fallout of a network TV morning news show after their head anchor is exposed for sexual assault and harassment. It's a great look behind the curtain of what goes on when things like this happen.

Dark (Netflix)

This one is a German show produced by Netflix that explores time travel and its effects on a small town that is stuck in a loop that keeps repeating every 33 years. The first two seasons are incredible and the final third season finally hit Netflix this summer. If you were a fan of LOST you will love this one.

Better Call Saul (AMC/Netflix)

Breaking Bad might be the greatest television show in history, but its prequel series Better Call Saul is coming for its crown. Focusing on the early life of lawyer Saul Goodman before he was Saul. We see his journey to becoming Walter White's slick talking attorney. This one has been on since 2015. It's latest season just ended for 2020 and we can't wait to see what happens in it's sixth and final season.

Star Trek: Picard (CBS All Access)

Fans of Star Trek The Next Generation will love this continuation story for one of Star Fleet's favorite captains. Picking up 20 years after the events of the final TNG film, Nemesis, we find a retired Picard trying to unravel a mysterious plot within the federation and Star Fleet. He puts together a crew and heads off for another adventure in the final frontier. Engage!

Hollywood (Netflix)

From producer Ryan Murphy, it's a sort of retelling of old Hollywood in the late 1940s. It has an incredible cast and shows us what it was like for minorities in Hollywood back in the golden age. This one is certainly not for the kids, so I'd wait for them to be in bed before turning this one on.
