As the Capital Region was getting excited about heading into phase four of New York's reopening plan some businesses were dealt a blow last week. It was announced that gyms, indoor shopping malls, movie theaters, and outdoor theme parks were not in the first part, if any part, of phase four. This was strange considering many thought they would be given the greenlight even sooner than phase four.
Now many businesses are struggling to figure out what to do.
I was able to talk with John Hogan, owner of Crossfit Spur in Glenmont, NY. He talked to me about how gyms like his are handling that news plus all the preparations they've taken to keep their clients safe.
We also talked about how difficult it is right now with no guidance on how or when these businesses will be able to reopen.
