Parents Are Being Warned Not To Take Their Kids To 'Joker' Movie

Superhero movies are a BIG money maker these days. Just look at the latest Avengers or Spider-Man film. They both made over a billion dollars at the box office. Those movies also happen to appeal to both kids and their parents. However the new movie, Joker, from Todd Phillips is not for the kids.

Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix as the classic Batman villain. This movie will be a lot different than previous superhero movies. It is rated R and that is because it is inspired by such films as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. It is a "decent into madness" and has a lot of violence in it. Many theaters are finding that they need to post warnings to let parents know to keep the kids at home for this one.

It's kind of silly. This movie isn't being marketed as a children's movie. It is very much for the adults.

If you decide to bring your child to this movie that happens to be about one of the craziest, most violent, comic book villains of all-time that is on you. It is not on the theater. It is not on the people who made the movie. It's on you as a parent. You made the choice to take them to a rated R movie.

Theaters also had to post about Deadpool being rated R and not for kids, too.
