I hope everyone is planning on doing some stargazing tonight. According to CBS6, you will be able to watch the Perseid meteor shower as it happens tonight into Tuesday morning.
They say that at its peak 100 meteors will be seen flying across the night sky.

The fireballs are called Perseids because the area where they originate from is located near the constellation Perseus, the AMS explained.
It might be slightly difficult to see some of the meteors because of tonight's full moon, but you should have no trouble seeing the brightly lit meteors.
So keep your eyes on the sky.
