Think about your co-workers that take frequent smoke breaks. They're outside quite often and for roughly 10 minutes at a time. Now you as a non-smoker don't just get to go stand outside for 10 minutes once an hour or so. So what benefit can a non-smoker have - besides the being healthier and what not.
How about this:
A company in Japan is offering non-smokers an extra 6 days off per year to make up for the cigarette breaks that smokers take.
The CEO of the company said:
I hope to encourage employees to quit smoking through incentives rather than penalties or coercion.
Not a bad strategy and it totally could benefit everyone at the end!
