When you think about where you live in Upstate New York do you ever think about how dangerous some of the areas are? I didn't until recently when there were four homicides in Albany in July alone. Over all there have been nine homicides in 2018 in the city of Albany.
Just yesterday was the fourth in Albany when someone was stabbed on Lark Street. What the heck is going on?
NewYorkUpstate.com compiled FBI data to determine the 25 most dangerous cities. Gloversville was #19, Troy was #12 and Schenectady was #10.
Ranking highest on the list and cracking the top 10 was Albany at #8. The most dangerous city was Niagara Falls.
Shouldn't we be concerned that all three of our Capital Region cities made this list?
