Goldfish Cracker Recall, Ritz Recall As Well

Cracker lovers brace yourself because your world is about to be turned upside down. Both Goldfish and Ritz crackers have been recalled due to a possible salmonella contamination.

CNN reports:

The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert Friday for foods that contain whey powder. Whey powder is an ingredient regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration and is used in a number of foods.

Both Goldfish and Ritz contain the Whey powder in seasoning used for flavor blasted and Ritz bits. Here's a list of other products containing the powder that have also been recalled.

  • Goldfish
  • Ritz
  • Swiss Rolls
  • Hungry Man Chipotle BBQ Sauced Boneless Chicken Wyngz

If you have any of these items you may want to get rid of them just to be safe.

Here's a full list of the recall items.
