The stage has been set for the Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles face the New England Patriots. Obviously the Eagles are the underdog here. I would love to see them win the Super Bowl as a fan of the team, but the Patriots always seem to figure out how to win.
One theory from Bleacher Report's Adam Lefkoe suggests that The Eagles do have history on their side. Their road to the Super Bowl is nearly identical to the one of the 1990 New York Giants. And who won the Super Bowl in 1990? The New York Giants.
Seriously, the theory blew my mind. That Phil Simms got hurt and had to be replaced in the same fashion that Carson Wentz did. Both back up QBs had debated to retire that season but stuck around. They both beat the defending NFC champs by scoring just 15 points.
With all that being said, I think the Eagles win this one 32-27.
Fly, Eagles, Fly!
