This is the news that everyone has been waiting to hear since you were a kid and your parents told you that you couldn't have ice cream for breakfast.
However it's ironic that donuts, coffee cake, and sugary cereals were ok, BUT I DIGRESS.
We've always been told that we can't have the delicious frozen treat for anything but dessert. Now that has changed.
According to the International Business Times eating ice cream for breakfast can improve mental alertness and performance. Who doesn't want to improve all of those things?
According to the report:
"..people who had consumed ice cream for breakfast showed better reaction time and were able to process information better than those who did not have the ice cream. Further tests of brain activity also showed that the people who had ice cream first thing in the morning had an increase in high-frequency alpha waves, which are associated with higher levels of alertness and can reduce mental irritation, the report said."
Basically, bring on the ice cream!
