Demi Lovato is poking fun at her Camp Rock days.
On Tuesday (November 18), the It's Not That Deep singer shared a video to TikTok referencing her Camp Rock character Mitchie Torres and her head-scratching plan to fit in with the popular crowd. Lovato portrayed Mitchie in both the original 2008 movie and its 2010 sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
Under the header, "don't judge that could be you one day," Lovato posed for the camera in a form-fitting black dress as a caption written on the clip read, "why would i lie and make up a fake life story that my mom is the president of the chinese branch of a music media company just to become friends the popular kids at camp?"
Lovato then joked in the caption under the video that it "couldn't be me."
The comment references Mitchie's declaration to a group of popular girls that her mother was the "President of Hot Tunes TV China" when in reality her mom was the camp cook.
Fans in the comments were loving the post, replying with everything from hilarious quotes from the movie like "Mitchie has DISHES TO DO" and "shes really good" to screenshots of Lovato doing the infamous "Disney knees" stance in another scene. Others, however, wondered if Lovato's post could be a hint that she will appear in the upcoming third film in the franchise.
In September, Camp Rock 3 was confirmed to be greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+, with the Jonas Brothers set to reprise their roles. Lovato was not confirmed to be part of the upcoming sequel was set to serve as a producer alongside Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas.
