Big Thank You To Essential Workers

On Wednesday afternoon a nasty storm moved through the Capital Region leaving over 160,000 people without power and some of us are still without power on Friday. Let's hope that the workers from National Grid and beyond continue their hard work to get the restored.

I wanted to say thank you for the speedy effort to get power restored to much of our area. I know it was not an easy job with all of the downed trees and powerlines. I don't envy them having to be out there in the middle of the night like that.

Fortunately I am lucky and got my power back on around 7:30pm Thursday night. I know some of you are still without. Just be patient as they're working around the clock to get it done for us.

Another big thanks to the police, firefighters and paramedics that were out directing traffic and just keeping things in order while traffic lights weren't working.

If you are still without power, here is the link to the National Grid outage map.
