It was just announced by Governor Cuomo that anyone traveling to New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut from a state with a high rate of COVID-19 infections will need to quarantine for 14 days.

CBS 6 reports:

Under the advisory, individuals coming from states that have high infection rates must spend two weeks under self-quarantine to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Similar quarantine mandates were put in place for New Yorkers who were traveling to places outside of the state back in March. Now New York has one of the lowest infection rates in the country while 23 other states are seeing surges in positive tests.

The quarantine applies to states with a 10% infection rate. Those states are Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, Utah and Texas.
