With the news that Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida would be reopening on July 11, 2020 it has many magic deprived Disney fans anxiously counting down until they can return to the theme park. However things may not be so simple for those of us from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Now back when all the COVID-19 lockdowns across the country began in March Florida instituted a policy that anyone visiting from those three states needed to quarantine themselves for a minimum of 14 days. That would mean that if you were visiting Florida for less than two weeks you might as well not even go. That policy has been extended to July 7, 2020.
While it's unclear if that policy will be extended again or if it will have any impact on those traveling from New York to Florida at the time of the park's opening it might be a safe bet to wait a little while before heading to the Magic Kingdom.
