Albany's DJ Dread Says Controlling the Narrative of History is in Our Hands

If you're from the Capital Region chances are you know who DJ Dread is. He's been a fixture in the community and entertainer at clubs in the area for a number of years. After Saturday's protests turned ugly in Albany I saw Dread do an amazing Facebook live talking to all of us about the situation.

That's when I decided to reach out and have him come onto my podcast. I wanted him to get that message out there.

One of the things he talked about was that we as people control the narrative of what is happening and how history will end up remembering us. We also talked about accountability on all levels, from the police to us as human beings.

It was one fo the best conversations I've had, and provided perspective to me and education. As I told Dread, as much as I want to help, I don't know how. I cannot relate to these circumstances and he was kind enough to hear me. So I encourage all of you to hear him.
