My Biggest Fear With Disney Plus

Two months ago I was kind of mad at Disney for making their own streaming service. I didn't really want to buy another service. Well on Tuesday I caved and bought it. The kids are thrilled and love it. I have watched a Marvel Movie and a couple of episodes of Hannah Montana. Sorry I love that show. It really is pretty funny. Love how they make fun of themselves all the time and don't take themselves too seriously.

Anyway I have a big fear of Disney Plus. I remember all the old Disney movies from the 60s and 70s. I have not watched one yet. Why? I'm afraid to! My fear is that they won't be as good as I remember them. Is it just me? I'm afraid they will not have stood the test of time. Let's face our attention spans are now really short. When these movies came out there were like 3 TV stations. We'd sit through just about anything. I remember watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang a few years ago. It was excruciating!

That movie moved so slowly! They over explained EVERYTHING!!! Then there were all the songs. If you though American Pie was long, wait till you watch this movie. Same deal with Dr. Doolittle. I swear these movies are over 3 hours long. I'm afraid all my childhood memories will be wiped clean, much less what will happen when I tell our kids how good they are only to hear them say "this is boring". I might just have to agree with them. I guess time will tell. I'll schedule 3 hours or so to try out "Herbie The Love Bug" or something this weekend and get back to you.
