When I was broadcasting at the Saratoga County Fair on Tuesday a very proud Mom came buy to tell about her son Blade. When he was 8 years old he went with his Mom & Dad to the hospital for her Oncology treatments. He was a WWII vet off alone in a corner being treated. He was feeling cold and sick and Blade went to a nurse to get a blanket and cover him up. He called the man his Buddy. On day Buddy didn't make it to his treatment and Blade, "The Little Blanket Boy", received a letter of thanks from Buddy's family. It inspired Blade to start Buddy Blankets & Bears.
Blade is in college now and still is raising money and providing blankets to adults and teddy bears to kids being treated for cancer. It's quite a story. Read the full story here and see how you can help a really special organization.
