Hey this is not new, but it's new to me. Not long ago my wife stumbled on a ghost tour of the Canfield Casino in Congress Park in Saratoga. I had only been in the lobby one time and didn't know much about the place including the fact that it was haunted so we decided to check it out. I'm kind of a history geek so this was pretty cool.
Turns out the place was pretty much an illegal gambling joint run by a gangster that some very famous people like the Vanderbilts, Whitney's etc. used to go to. The gangster donated a lot of money to the Saratoga churches and locals didn't gamble there so the town pretty much looked the other way. Only the men were allowed to gamble. There may have been a murder in the place. Currently some belongings of some famous people from Saratoga, with a novel worthy story that involves step children marrying and murder, are on the 3rd floor. Their ghosts may have come with the belongings. At least one of the family's ghosts is supposed to be hanging out on the 3rd floor and there is a ghost portal not far from the roulette table. I also didn't know that the Ghost Hunters checked the place out too a few years ago.
I didn't see any ghosts or feel the presence or anything though the tour guides were very good and seemed very convinced that they had several experiences with the supernatural at the Casino. The other people on our tour seemed like believers too. One of our guilds kind of called me out as a skeptic. I'm not sure I believe in ghosts, but I'm also kind of afraid of them if they do exist, so I have decided just not to think too much about it just to be safe.
