NXIVM founder Keith Raniere was found guilty just days ago. This case put the Capital Region in the spotlight around the world. We knew it would turn into a few movies. The first one's working title is "NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Nightmare" Lifetime is working on this one and it will focus on actress Catherine Oxenberg and her fight to get her 28 year old daughter out of NXIVM. The article I read said that and actor names Peter Facinelli will play Keith Raniere. They look pretty similar if you click the link.
No word on if they will actually film in the Capital Region. Somehow I feel like we are going to see palm trees in Halfmoon in the movie.
