I Don't Care About Fireworks

HANABI 7

Hi, my name is Kevin, and I don't care about fireworks on The 4th of July. Does that make me Un-American? With that said, if YOU love fireworks, that's great! I strongly encourage you to go to The Empire State Plaza this 4th of July, as Price Chopper and Market 32 always give the BEST fireworks show of the season. I just don't want to go. This time of year, fireworks can't even start until 9/9:30...I'm falling asleep! And I've seen them. Many many times. Sure, fireworks are very pretty...but I've seen the pretty ones, the ones that form shapes, the duds, the ones that don't really explode into a rainbow of color but instead make a flash then a big boom! I've seen them all...over and over again...and I'm simply over it. We were in Magic Kingdom on year. When all the people ran to see the fireworks show, my wife and I went on rides...NO LINE! I've had a lifetime of been there done that. IF we happen to be somewhere and fireworks begin, sure I watch. Sure, it's entertaining, but all I do is try to predict whether or not it was the grand finale we just saw. And, if you happen to be somewhere crowded, it's always crazy trying to leave! I ask you...is it Un-American of me not to care about them, especially on the 4th of July? I love this country, but is it my responsibility as an american to watch them, kind of like standing for the national anthem? I sure hope not, because I just don't care!
