Carrie Underwood and Ludacris Rock 2018 Radio Disney Awards

Carrie Underwood and Ludacris electrified the Radio Disney Awards stage on Friday night (June 22, aired June 23), when the duo made the television debut of their empowering collaborative single 'The Champion.'

The inspired finale performance ended the awards show on a high note, and Underwood and Ludacris pulled out all the stops—from vibrant ensembles to performing with the West Los Angeles Children's Choir.

The "Cry Pretty" singer also received the Hero Award, which was presented by her old American Idol judge, Randy Jackson, who called her "one of the greatest souls on the planet."

"We've all been blessed with gifts that we can use to make the world a place," Underwood said as she accepted the award. "Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, I certainly never imagined that anybody anywhere would be giving me any kind of hero award...May we all use our gifts to help each other because that's what champions do."

Earlier this month iHeartRadio announced its 2018 lineup for the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival, revealing Underwood as one of its headliners. The festival is set to take place at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena September 21st and 22nd. Check out more festival details here.
