Anthony Bourdain Apparent Suicide & Where You Can Find Help

Celebrity Chef and CNN "Parts Unknown" host Anthony Bourdain has died of an apparent suicide at age 61.  This is so sad.  I loved his show.  He did some cooking but it was mostly a very interesting way to learn about other parts of the world and the cultures of those places.  He had a unique way of sharing the information and it was always fascinating to me.  If you've never watch the show I highly recommend it.

In the show he has shared some of his past struggles.  It's so sad that they apparently got the best of him.

I hope this will help.  Please be open about your mental health.  I know that every day we all face tough situations.  Please don't be embarrassed to share your thoughts with others.  If you don’t feel anyone listened or understood. Please, don’t give up. Talk about it. If you, a friend or family member is struggling emotionally—you are not alone. There is help available.

If you or someone you know needs help, please call 1-800-273-8255 for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. You can also text START or HELLO to 741-741 for free, 24-hour support from the Crisis Text Line.
