Ninth annual Soup Stroll set for Downtown Schenectady


SCHENECTADY, NY – The Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) will be hosting the ninth annual Schenectady Soup Stroll on Saturday, January 25 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Schenectady Soup Stroll is a food event showcasing local restaurants and their unique soup recipes, varying from cream soups, broth-based soups, chowders and more. Each participating restaurant will charge $1 per 3 oz sample. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available.

There are 29 restaurants slated to participate in this year’s event. Those participating are: 20 North Broadway; Annabel’s at Frog Alley; Armory Studios NY; Backstage Pub; Bittersweet Candy; Canvas, Corks & Forks; Centre Street Pub; City Hall Grill; Chez Nous; Daley on Yates; Ember & Cork; Hunter’s on Jay; Johnny’s; Katie O’Byrnes; Manhattan Exchange; Maria’s Café & Catering; MILAS; Ruggiero’s at Frog Alley; Simone’s Kitchen; Stella Pasta Bar & Seven Points Brewery; St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church; SUNY Schenectady County Community College; Take Two Café; Tara Kitchen; The Nest; UNBEETABLE; Vice & Virtue; Wolff’s Biergarten and YaYa’s House of Southern Cuisine.

Last year, Simone’s Kitchen was declared the “Soup Stroll Souperstar” champion by popular vote with their Greek-style Cauliflower Chowder with Lemon Potatoes.
