Eight More States Added To New York's Quarantine List

While we here in the Capital Region are on track to enter phase four some states are still seeing a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.

Last week Governor Cuomo said that folks traveling from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, Utah and Texas would need to quarantine for 14 days if they were coming to New York. The same thing went for New Jersey and Connecticut as well.

Now eight more states have been added to the quarantine list.

Those states are:

  • California
  • Georgia
  • Iowa
  • Idaho
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Nevada
  • Tennessee

If you're planning on traveling to any of these places you will also need to quarantine for 14 days after you get back to New York State. Your best bet is to stay put.

When you arrive at Albany International Airport you will be given a health questionnaire to answer if you're traveling from one of the hot spots.
