Looks like the Major League Baseball will get back to playing in late July. It will be a 60 game season. Some teams are hoping to have up to 20% stadium capacity of fans at some point. We'll see on that. Some new rules will be in place too. Corona virus tests every other day, no hi fives, no fish bumps, no hugs, no spitting (good luck with that one), no pitchers licking their fingers, no sunflower seeds for smokeless tobacco (again is the no spitting), and no approaching umpired to argue. I guess you'll have to social distance to yell.
I did see that the Baseball Hall of Fame is re-opening Friday (6/26) with limited capacity.
What about our home team the Tri-City Valley Cats? Well we aren't sure if they will be playing this year or not yet. Last night they were supposed to have their home opener. They did do a virtual opening day with the first pitch and all. Let's hope we can watch them play soon.
