It is the little things in life that we take for granted. Like for instance, getting a haircut. Normally I would go every four weeks to get my hair cut but having to shutdown the state back in March put a stop to my regular routine.
So my hair grew.
Now my hair doesn't simply grow down. It transforms into a giant pile of curls. It is ridiculous, honestly. I was very lucky to have gotten may hair cut just before the shutdown, but at this point I went all of April and May so it was getting a bit long.
Then it happened.
My Barber texted me Monday night and said "Wanna get aa haircut?"
It was happening. I was going to get a haircut and my excitement was through the roof.
Once we New York opened for Phase Two on Wednesday I was there. In the chair at Tiffany's Barber Shop in Glenmont getting my usual cut. It was glorious.
I will tell you there are rules you have to follow.
- You have to wear a mask
- Don't even walk in without a mask on
- Use hand sanitizer stations they have set up
- One customer per barber
So get out there and tame those manes, New York.
