Paul McCartney won't be getting back "out there" as soon as he'd hoped.
The former Beatle has postponed the start of his U.S. "Out There" tour, which is now slated to begin in Albany, New York on July 5th. The rock legend says in a website post he's "feeling great," but is following doctors' advice to "take it easy for just a few more days."
McCartney is recovering from a virus he contracted last month that landed him in the hospital in Japan. His illness forced him to cancel his Japanese dates as well as what was going to be his performance debut in South Korea.
McCartney was set to begin the U.S. portion of his world tour with his first-ever concert in Lubbock, Texas this Saturday. That date, along with six other shows originally set for June, have been rescheduled for October.
