Today, Starbucks plans to launch a new program that will pay for its employees to take online classes at Arizona State University - not the University of Phoenix.

Starbucks CEO, Howard D. Schultz, believes a college education will help keep employees at Starbucks, increase their performance and help attract better employees. The program will be open to all the over 130,000 Starbucks employees in the US who work at least 20 hours per week and have the test scores to attend ASU.

The "Starbucks College Achievement Plan" will also help employee students with academic guidance, assistant with paperwork to help employees stay engaged and focused in their online studies.
