Free Ice Cream for Kids!

Portrait Of Five Children On Cycle Ride Together

Free Ice Cream for kids in the Capital Region!! But there is one catch...it's an easy one...makes sure kids, that you are wearing your safety helmet! If a police officer spots you wearing your helmet while riding your bike, skateboard or inline skates, he or she just may give you a 'good ticket' which is good for a free ice cream this summer! Since all the police officers keeping us safe out there want to make sure ALL kids have a helmet, if a child is spotted WITHOUT wearing a helmet, they will be given a ticket good for a FREE HELMET at the police station. This is really a great program! 23 local police stations are participating and handing out 5000 'good tickets' this summer! It's the annual Safe Summer Bike Helmet Safety Program. This program is made possible thanks to several great sponsors who donated the free ice cream including Stewarts, Friendly's, Hayner's Ice Cream Hall of Fame in Halfmoon and Ben & Jerry's. Martin, Harding and Mazzotti was kind enough to donate the bike helmets to the police departments. Be safe this summer and enjoy the ice cream!
