On Wednesday there will be a ground breaking for a new Capital Region Sonic. According to the TU Albany and Bethlehem's wait for an ice cold Cherry Limeade Red Bull Slush will be coming to an end. It's going to be in the Mount Hope Commons where the Howard Johnson's used to be on Rt 9W just south of downtown Albany. Not sure how long it takes to build a Sonic and to fire up the slush machine but I hope it's before the end of summer. We have more 90 degree weather this week.
This article out in Nov said it would be open in the "Spring" Looks like it's a little behind.
