It's “Kick Butts Day,” a national day of activism against Big Tobacco. Capital Region Reality Check and the Capital District Tobacco-Free Coalition will be at Crossgates from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those shoes represent the number of kids who take up smoking every week in New York.

Community members will also be invited to become part of the solution and “Kick Tobacco Marketing to the Curb” by taking action to support reducing tobacco marketing in stores and pharmacies. (All shoes will be donated locally or recycled post-event.)

It will be near the “Track ‘n Trail” store at the mall.
