It's being called the largest heroin bust in the history of the Albany County Sheriff's Office.

A large quantity of the drug seized and four suspects are under arrest following a raid on a Central Avenue apartment last night.

Sheriff Craig Apple says he believes they've made a major dent on drug trafficking in the Capital Region though he knows other dealers plan on grabbing some turf.

He says the dealers would rent taxi cabs--from which pushers would do their dirty work.  The suspects are also accused of selling the drug inside Crossgates Mall and Colonie Center.

Apple says he'll push D.A. David Soares to throw the book at the defendants.
