State Police in Brunswick arrested a Hoosick Falls man after a verbal argument turned physical.

Wayne R. Weeden, 57, of Hoosick Falls was arrested Sunday for Criminal Mischief (Harassment 2nd Degree) and Criminal Tampering (3rd Degree), Troopers said. He was arrested and arraigned before a Town of Hoosick Judge. The judge issued an order of protection for Weeden's girlfriend against him. Weeden was released and is scheduled for another court appearance at a later date.

Police were called to a residence in Hoosick Falls for a domestic dispute between Weeden and his girlfriend. His girlfriend reported that during the argument, Weeden stomped on her foot. Weeden then broke a window in her car and also deflated the four tires on the vehicle, police said.

On Monday, Weeden violated the order of protection when he again harassed and also threatened his girlfriend, Troopers said. He was arrested Tuesday for Criminal Contempt (1st Degree). Weeden was arraigned in court and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail.
